A worshiping community since 1893, St John’s has been actively engaged in the community of Anderson, IN for over 125 years. We are married couples, singles, young families, empty nesters, kids, seniors, and more, gathered together by the God to grow in faith, hope, and love, and called to serve God in the world around us.
We come from all over the city of Anderson and many of the surrounding communities as well. We engage in weekly opportunities for worship, serving, study, and fellowship.
Our building is actively used by many community groups including Madison county’s largest food pantry, Helping Hands, and our highly regarded preschool, St. John’s Early Literacy Preschool.
St. John’s Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the largest national Lutheran denomination. We are a part of the Indiana- Kentucky Synod, a regional mission territory of over 180 Lutheran churches.
